Isn't It Pretty To Think So?

A Late Fragment

"And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so?"/ "I did"/ "And what did you want?"/ "To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth." - the last poem written by Raymond Carver, on a scrap of paper in his hospital bed

George Bush is an Embarrassment and a Failure

President George Bush has managed to derail the most powerful economy in the world, speed up America's demise as the world's only superpower by 50 years or so, and return the world to the 8th Century Crusades, all while making his friends rich.

What a colossal embarrassment.
